If I were to tell you that on average, 13,780 houses a day are selling, would you declare that the housing market is dead?

According to the National Association of Realtors’(NAR) Existing Home Sales Report, that is the average number of homes that sell every day in the U.S. In fact, NAR reported that home sales have increased 7.7% over the previous month and 18.6% more than in 2010.  Annualized sales now stand at 5.03 million. When divided by 365 (the number of days in a year), the average is well over 13,000 homes sold every day.

While these numbers are still below the records for homes sold in 2006, we also know that we may never see those numbers again. However, it cannot be argued that the current real estate market is dead or that houses are not selling, and we have over 13,000 pieces of evidence to prove it!
